The Position
In support of remote and complex operations around the world, we offer extensive aircraft parts inventory and dedicated shipping services to ensure rapid AOG response 24/7/365. We maintain relationships with over 55 manufacturers, vendors, and suppliers, and we leverage those relationships to provide exceptional customer service and competitive pricing to our customers
As a Parts Sales Representative you will work closely with all members of the Parts team to manage domestic and international parts sales. You will report to the Parts Manager and will be responsible for the following, including but not limited to:
- Provide exceptional customer service for new and existing customers
- Process customer requests and follow-up with confirmation and status updates
- Create, manage, and maintain new customer base
- Purchase and sell aircraft components worldwide
- Manage consignments, rotable pool, inventories and purchase orders
Ideal candidates can work independently within his/her areas of responsibilities under limited supervision; value a strong work ethic and optimistic attitude; maintain a critical eye for detail and organization; and are excited to represent Hillsboro Aviation in front of key customers, including foreign governments, community leaders, and business partners.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage customer demands and maintain relationships with new and existing customer base
- Purchase and sell aircraft components worldwide
- Analyze market trends to ensure proper inventory levels and pricing
- Manage consignments
- Manage rotable pool
- Evaluate and purchase inventories
- Perform verbal and electronic quotes for parts that meet margin requirements
- Sell parts from warehouse and broker parts through approved vendors
- Create purchase orders
- Verify proper payment
- Travel as necessary to customer visits, conferences, and tradeshows
Qualifications/Licenses
- Must possess an unrestricted driver’s license
- Minimum of 4 years of aviation parts sales experience
Required Skills/Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and time management skills
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Extensive knowledge of aircraft components and valuation
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Negotiation experience
- General and Business Aviation experience
- Understanding of export compliance regulations
