Validation / Verification Monitor
Sterling Heights, MI
Contract Position
Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Validate and verify technical manual pages for Abrams, Stryker, SMET, SHORAD, and Booker series vehicles.
- Conduct validation/verification of operator, maintenance, and troubleshooting technical publications for tracked and wheeled vehicles to ensure technical accuracy and usability.
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and software downloads for Abrams, Wolverine, Buffalo, and Stryker series vehicles.
- Support government verifications and logistics demonstrations for vehicle technical publications at both company and government facilities.
- Serve as a liaison between the company and government representatives to resolve technical or administrative issues.
- Analyze engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and specifications to identify hardware configurations and diagnose vehicle system faults.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and Adobe to develop and maintain departmental forms and records in accordance with ISO standards.
Qualifications:
- Clearance: Must be able to obtain security clearance.
- Experience:
- Previous military tracked and/or wheeled vehicle operation and maintenance experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform diagnostics and systems troubleshooting on Abrams, Wolverine, FOX, and Stryker vehicles, components, and assemblies.
- Physical Requirements:
- Must meet ASR guidelines for working in enclosed vehicles (IAW SP 2-644).
- Must be physically capable of working on/in tracked and wheeled vehicles.
- Travel: Occasional out-of-town travel may be required.
- Work Schedule: Extended workdays/workweeks may be necessary to support logistics programs.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe for developing and maintaining records.
