MISSION:
To dispense tools, dies and other manufacturing supplies, and maintain accurate inventories.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Tool Room Operations.
Objective: to attend the tool room, and dispense tools and supplies.
Typical Activities:
- Accepts deliveries of supplies; stores tools and supplies.
- Fills requisitions for tools, dies, burrs, and other manufacturing supplies.
- Dispenses tools, dies and supplies.
- Grinds burrs for reuse.
- Maintains tool room in clean, orderly manner.
Inventory and Recording.
Objective: To maintain inventories and order supplies.
Typical Activities:
- Maintains manual or computerized tool and die inventories.
- Maintains supply records.
- Tracks inventory levels; orders supplies.
- Records departmental charges for operating and manufacturing supplies.
Safety.
Objective: to take responsibility for and demonstrate safe work practices.
Typical Activities:
- Adheres to plant and department safety rules.
- Safely operates all equipment and tools.
- Identifies and reports safety problems.
- Performs other tasks as directed.
TRAINING:
- Training is provided on the job.
- Completion of PCC&39;s Fork Lift Driving Safety Certification Training may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic ability to follow instructions, read, write, and perform arithmetic calculations.
- Ability to lift and/or maneuver objects weighing ten to thirty pounds and occasionally up to one hundred pounds.
- Ability to work in difficult working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, temperature extremes and other elements for extended periods of time.
