Test Technician
Chelmsford, MA
Contract Position
$42.63 - $45.63/Hour
Join Moseley Technical Services to support a leading defense contractors Missile and Fire Control program. Be part of a team developing cutting-edge innovations in defense and aerospace technology, contributing to mission-critical programs around the world.
Responsibilities:
- Test, tune, and troubleshoot mid-range to highly complex RF microwave hybrid assemblies for military applications.
- Conduct testing over temperature variations, vibration, and mechanical shock, and perform burn-in testing using specialized manual and automated equipment in accordance with performance specifications and acceptance test procedures.
- Use computers to access test procedures, assembly drawings, and schematics, and input test yield data.
- Perform electronic and electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of production units, using standard electronic assembly tools and materials.
- Perform modifications, rework, and quality testing as needed.
- Collaborate with RF Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering teams to develop testing procedures and resolve product issues.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
- Previous experience in testing, tuning, and troubleshooting RF Microwave Hybrid assemblies.
- Familiarity with RF equipment such as RF Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, RF Power Meters, and Network Analyzers.
- Ability to work under a microscope to test, tune, and troubleshoot RF microwave hybrid assemblies using hand tools such as torque drivers, tweezers, and other similar equipment.
- Strong dexterity, eye/hand coordination, and the ability to follow detailed process sheets and drawings.
- Experience operating computer-driven mechanical vibration equipment.
- Proficiency in soldering components in accordance with J-STD-001 standards.
- Experience analyzing RF Microwave test data and writing test procedures based on schematics.
- Familiarity with working in an ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) and FOD (Foreign Object Debris) controlled environment.
Schedule
- Weekend Shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM 12-hour shifts (3x12 schedule).
