AHUK offers considerable experience in helicopter sales, bespoke completions, maintenance and spares support. Its in-house engineering capabilities include design, customisation, installation, flight-testing and certification, as well as technical support, maintenance, training and the supply of spares for civil and military applications.
AHUK is the MoD’s chosen provider of helicopters and maintenance for its No.1 Helicopter Flying school (referred to as MFTS) located in RAF Shawbury (Shropshire) and RAF Valley (Anglesey).
Description/Overall purpose of the Job
All of Airbus Helicopters&39; activities are focused on meeting and exceeding industry and regulatory safety standards and supporting the safe operation of aircraft fleet from design, engineering and production, to maintenance, training and partnerships. AHUK Technical Support activity offers versatile and innovative solutions to our Customers regulatory and business needs. A vacancy is open for a customer facing H175 Technical Representative (Tech Rep) based at the Airbus Helicopters facility in Aberdeen and supporting the North Sea regional operators in their operation and maintenance of the Airbus H175 super medium.
Main responsibilities
The Tech Rep is responsible for the management of operations at the customer site, the main responsibilities are the following :
Assisting the customer maintenance and engineering department, on the Helicopter’s technical procedures.
Advising and supporting the customer maintenance and engineering department to operate/maintain/troubleshoot the Helicopter.
Assisting and advising the customer maintenance and engineering department/ technical staff to use the OEM’s TECHNICAL documentation, MMEL, AMM, SRM, IPC,etc.
Assisting the customer maintenance and engineering department to efficiently use the OEM’s portal with the associated OEM online tools and other software means (WEBTEK, ORION, AIRBUSWORLD...)
To feed back the OEM on operational data and technical events on a weekly/monthly basis/End of mission report etc.
Act as Customer focal point by:
Acting as local point of contact of assignation site for technical purpose (day to day relationship)
Adopting professional, proactive and positive behaviour and communication
Answering to Customer questions and redirect to appropriated focal point at Airbus Helicopters if out of his scope
Ability to transmit their knowledge of OEM Helicopters maintenance: troubleshooting, documentation, process and organization.
Assisting & supporting the customer maintenance technical staff during maintenance operation performances.
Ensure Quality & Safety at any time by :
Respecting procedures, quality & safety standards and regulations (global aviation and local ones)
Checking airworthiness following Part 145 regulations or local regulations, relevant documents e.g. Work Orders, EASA Form 1, CoC...
Applying recommendations from Continuous Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO)
Monitoring of airworthiness data record (flight hours, cycles, failures...).
Monitoring of Service Bulletins application & AD’s
Checking the working environment safety iaw Part 145 guidance
Applying human factors and FOD principles

Education, Qualifications or Training
Essential
Technical school diploma.
Extensive experience working with Helicopters / Airbus products
Licence Part 66 with multiple entries /Type Rating
Additional requirements
Due to the nature of this position you will require DBS Security Clearance and be eligible for SC clearance.
Applicants must meet any/all requirements of Export Compliance Regulations.
Eligible for NATO clearance (restricted documents consulting)
