The position:

The Senior Developer will join our Software Development team focusing on providing passengers with exceptional in-flight shopping experience while allowing airlines to offer differentiating payment options.

The position will be part of a global team of IT professionals under Digital Solution Services team focused on development and support of product information management (PIM) solution utilizing agile implementation methodologies.

The successful candidate will have a record of success in developing and deploying PIM solutions and improving processes. This position will work closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify, develop, and deploy solutions to business problems. We aim to enhance passenger experience through improving operational efficiency and drive technological advancements in the aviation industry.


Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Configures and develops e-commerce applications to implement business changes.

  • Creates clear, simple, and reusable front-end and back-end code with the ecommerce platform.

  • Monitors and manages the infrastructure.

  • Creates and maintain various test applications to ensure Continuous Integration & Deployment of the Ecommerce application software.

  • Maintains the developed software efficiently through solid knowledge of software lifecycles.

  • Documents designs in engineering documents including functional block diagrams, data/logic flow charts, and UML.

  • Research emerging technologies with the goal of applying these technologies to current and future projects.

  • Support and troubleshoot issues, identify cause, and proactively recommend sustainable corrective actions.

  • Be effective and comfortable with minimum supervision.

  • Take ownership of solution components.

  • Responsible for Quality Management (able to perform code review) on Software Development & Cybersecurity requirements.

  • Support medium to large scale enterprise level projects.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of development experience.

  • Prior experience and knowledge of ecommerce platform administration and/or development incl. PHP, MySQL, REST-API, Node JS, AWS and Docker.

  • Experience in developing a commercial software product or SaaS.

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of SQL and other database technologies such as MongoDB, and/or Redis.

  • Hands on experience with scripting languages like Python and Bash.

  • Experience working with Git version control, and familiar with GitLab.

  • Experience working with Static Code Analysis tools.

  • Masters degree or bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or any other related field.

  • 10-15 years of software development experience.

  • Prior experience working in project teams and designing solutions.

  • Ability to manage projects.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel to domestic or international locations as required, up to 5 of the time.
The salary range of $112,000 - $188,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum.
