Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is looking for you to join our team as a Facility Security Officer based out of Dayton, Ohio. As a member of the Aeronautics Systems security team, you will participate in enabling classified programs to provide cutting edge capability and technology to the war-fighter.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials. Conducts security education classes and security audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
- Interfacing with all levels of government, corporate, and business area leadership on Security manners involving employees, programs, facilities, and operations in a manner which balances compliance with customer service
- Ensures adherence to policies, practices, and procedures of the 32 CFR Part 117: National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM), the DoD Manual 5205.07 Vol 1-4, the JSIG, as well as other applicable government or customer contractual regulatory guidance and directives
- Oversees local implementation and directly participates in enterprise established processes including classified programs, security education/training/and awareness, workplace violence prevention, security investigations/insider threat, and contingency planning with crisis management and business resilience
- Knowledgeable in the use of Defense Information System for Security (DISS), National Industrial Security System (NISS), with use of the Enterprise Security Information System (ESIS)/Security Information Management System (SIMS) a plus
- Manage time effectively and be able to take independent action
- Take initiative to improve processes, as well as provide solutions once an issue has been identified
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information to various audiences at all levels of the organization both verbally and through written communications
- Must be well organized, willing to work in a team environment, be able to prioritize tasking, and perform in a multi-tasked and dynamic environment
Basic Qualifications:
- 8 Years of Industrial Security experience with Bachelors; OR 6 years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD OR an additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for bachelor’s degree.
- Must have a DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top-Secret Clearance and Special Program Access.

Salary Range: $99,900 - $149,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
