Northrop Grumman’s Chief Information Office is seeking an innovative, adaptable, and results-oriented Senior Principal Enterprise-Wide Applications Analyst to help develop and evolve our capabilities in Business Systems, Talent Management Systems. The position is responsible for the global administration and maintenance of our Learning Management System (LMS) while providing data analytical support. This position can be remote. This is subject to change based on business conditions.
The Senior Application Analyst will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and support of the LMS, ensuring an optimal learning experience for all users.
Central technical subject matter expert and enterprise administrator for HR applications. Drive the configuration and optimization of the system to support business needs globally; this is a global role, and occasional early calls or late evening will be necessary.
Execute and co-ordinate User Acceptance Testing and Regression Testing for designated system changes and defect fixes.
Take on responsibility that may be broader than their own work as part of the HR Systems team partnering on other HR projects. Participate in other Talent Application initiatives as needed.
Level 4 user support - monitoring reoccurring issues, system/data or process gaps and proactively identify potential sources of increased efficiency and enhancements.
Contribute to creating, documenting, and training LMS system standards, governance, and procedures; maintains data integrity rules and processes.
Manage complex inbound and outbound user data feeds between Workday, Cornerstone SBX and other learning providers and other talent applications; ensure system processing functions correctly.
Prepares, delivers, and manages complex reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and future issues related to LMS data using both out-of-box tools, and enterprise reporting tools.
Create and validate reports for audit requests, as required
Leads Cornerstone SBX projects, enhancements, and system upgrades; provides guidance on upgrades and future functionality regarding the LMS system and supporting technologies.
Develop complex solutions that extend and enhance system functionality. This would include system integrations, bulk data import/export operations, custom reports, etc. Solutions might also require functional workarounds within the system – so a deep functional knowledge of LMS features is expected
Ensure appropriate security measures to protect user data and system integrity are implemented and maintained.
Support Product Owner to develop solutions to system challenges, collect user requirements, research technical practices, engage with the vendor community and user groups to stay on top of leading practices.
Collaborate with stakeholders to promote user adoption by leading user reviews, demos, and education sessions.
Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the user experience and effectiveness of Talent Management Systems.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 5 years of Learning Management Systems administration experience is required
- Experience with Cornerstone SBX/Saba LMS is required.
- Bachelors Degree in related field with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience OR a Masters Degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
- Experience integrating LMS with other systems and content providers and customizing LMS features
- Ability to work with variety of datasets and manipulate data to meet business reporting needs
- Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel (expert), Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint Proficient with Zoom and Teams functionality
- Familiarity with SCORM, AICC, and xAPI. files
- High level of organization, time management skills, ability to work both collaboratively as well as independently across simultaneous projects.
- Aptitude to learn software and applications (we are seeking a candidate who has an aptitude for learning and understanding technology)
- Excellent decision-making skills with demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Excellent teamwork, verbal and written communication (including the ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms), as well as project and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with a custom front-end experience layer design, security and API integrations
- HRIS experience, preferably using Workday or other similar HR ERP systems
- Experience with HTML, data applications and business intelligence software such as Tableau or Power BI; experience using APIs to perform back-end learning administrative tasks is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and in a global team setting, while managing competing priorities
- Demonstrates excellent people skills for working with both technical staff, executives, and end users
- Knowledge of design software and editing tools (e.g. Articulate, Camtasia, Captivate) is preferred
- Highly collaborative and uses feedback to improve programs and outcomes. Ability to support large scale change initiatives.
- Experience working in an Agile environment preferred
Salary Range: $109,900 - $164,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
