Job Summary:A Customer Service Rep interacts with customers & gives
information in response to inquiries about accounts, products, and services.
Takes care of and settles customer complaints, special orders, or returns
in-store or via phone or mail. Answers questions regarding product or service
& operation or maintenance. Receives & processes orders, provides
information concerning pricing, changes in service, discontinuance & shipping.
Responds to delivery changes via customer web portals.
Primary Responsibilities:
Process Customer Requests for
Proposals/Quotations

Verifies contract/purchase order terms and conditions.

Evaluates customer requirements.

Perform cost comparisons/analysis relative to quotations, generate price quotes
and forward to customers.

Follow-ups with customer on bid status.

Resolves invoice pricing discrepancies.

Process Customer Purchase Orders/Contracts

Review purchase orders/contracts to ensure agreement with quotes.

Originate internal sales orders.

Manage in-house performance of orders.

Inside Sales Support

Extensive telephone and/or e-mail contact with customers in the areas of
delivery status, expedite requests and reschedules.

Some price negotiations, as assigned by Supervisor.

Support of outside sales representatives.

Considerable personal computer duties via e-mail, spreadsheet, internet, etc.

Interfacing with customers as necessary.  Responsible for interface
with customers to resolve any questions or exceptions as necessary to process
request for quotations or purchase orders.

May be required to produce/present a monthly PP presentation to certain
customers.

Initiates internal work releases (sales orders) and modifications as required
upon receipt of customer purchase orders/change requests, and/or delivery
schedules.

Experienced in both commercial and military Request for Quotation and Purchase
Orders/Contract formats.

Must be able to understand the various terms and conditions contained therein
and coordinate with applicable departments.

Monthly status reporting may be required for Finance and Customer Service
Supervisor.

Look for and suggest opportunities for process improvements; conduct or
participate in Value Stream Mapping or other LEAN initiatives.

In regards to Trade Compliance, conduct ad-hoc screening in OCR; follow up on
customer hits in OCR as needed.
Administrative/file maintenance duties.

Will perform other appropriate duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Must be accurate and detail oriented.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Able to work within a team environment.
Competencies:
Demonstrated ability in the company product
will be required for all employees: customer focus, ethics & values,
problem solving, Integrity & trust, functional/technical skills, listening,
action oriented, composure, and values diversity.
Education & Previous Experience Requirements:
2 Year Degree or equivalent work experience.

Must have excellent computer skills, previous experience in an ERP system a
plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – intermediate skill level in Excel.

Above average internet savvy
Promote teamwork and cooperative effort

Help train and give guidance to employees

Maintain a clean, safe, and unobstructed work area

Provide customers with the highest quality of products and services.

Understand and apply appropriate quality improvement processes
