Responsibilities
Electronic Repair Technician
LOCATION: Dundalk, Ireland
JOB SUMMARY
Perform routine tasks to ensure repair shop quality standards are met by calibration, testing, troubleshooting and repair of parts, components, circuits and mechanical assemblies.
Recognize failures and set-up problems and determines the need for appropriate verification.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES.
Perform calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic components, circuits, and mechanical assemblies to meet quality standards.
Recognize failures, set-up problems, and determine the need for verification.
Record repair details and discrepancies in publications.
Test and troubleshoot complex analog and digital electronics systems to the component level.
Install and secure components using various methods like soldering, crimping, and fastening.
Generate repair cost quotations for end customers.
Assess design configuration using engineering documentation and maintenance manuals.
REQUIREMENTS:
Electronic repair/engineering diploma or equivalent qualification.
Experience in electronic systems repair.
Proficient in testing and troubleshooting analog and digital electronics systems.
Ability to use various tools and equipment for testing, including programmable auto-testers and oscilloscopes.
Familiarity with electronic circuit design for fault isolation and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of soldering techniques, especially on surface mount technology with acrylic conformal coating.
Competence in using power tools.
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other software applications.
Willingness to travel up to 10-20 of the time, including domestic and international locations.
