Job Description:
You will perform equipment calibration: visual check and measurement equipment/system according to calibration standards, methods and environmental condition to be used.
You will generate a calibration report and check the result according to Acceptance Criteria and perform adjustments in case of deviation if required.
In case of non conformity, you will ensure workflow communication in the tool.
You will manage the labels of measuring equipment, update IT system and preserve equipment.
In case of internal calibration method, you will propose improvements in terms of quality, time and cost.
Accountabilities:
• Reading drawing to determine measurements of equipment
• Taking measurements using equipment such as calipers, micrometers, laser trackers or other measurement devices
• Recording data by using computer software and create measurement report
Improving tool layout according to the workflow
• Obey all EHS regulations and quality regulations
• Obey all Export control and Airbus Data protection regulations
Main activities:
• Perform dimensional inspections of parts and Jig & tools using various measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, laser trackers, etc
• Understand and follow design drawings, models, and work instructions to perform measurement tasks
• Utilize GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) symbols and knowledge to interpret drawings
• Communicate with engineers and other technicians to resolve issues with measurements specifications
• Keep accurate records of inspection results and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Use 3D measurement models to create measurement script by SA if needed
• Select the appropriate measuring tools for special measurement job, based on the type of material being measured, the degree of accuracy required, and other factors
• Perform calibration label checks on measuring tools to ensure they are working properly
• Train new employees in proper measurement techniques
• Assist in the development of new measurement methods and processes
• Recommend improvements to existing measurement procedures
• Conduct research to stay up-to-date on advances in measurement technology
Qualifications / Requirements:
• Bachelor degree or above in automation or accurate instrument related majors
• Experience: Measurement technician background, better with aviation/aircraft experience
• Basic Skills: English fluent in writing and speaking, including Technical English (measurement and A/C)
• Good communication skill, team work;
• Good experience with SA measurement software, office package (Word, Excel), SAP is better.
