What You Will Do
Perform all duties associated with the pipefitter function including a wide variety of complex and difficult work to devise, fabricate, modify, install, repair and maintain various piping systems and related equipment for facility and industrial use. . Operate compressed air and industrial and toxic gas systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose complicated problems, plan actions and interface with engineering, environmental, and other trades to coordinate work. Schedule work with or notify customers and areas affected to facilitate the flow of work.
- Work from complex schematics, drawings, specifications and verbal instructions to layout, install, modify and repair complex piping/plumbing and related equipment. Inspect, test and approve jobs upon completion.
- Perform preventive maintenance procedures and respond to and/or support a wide variety of facility related hazardous and non-hazardous emergencies throughout the plant site.
- Operate and maintain compressed air for plant operations; troubleshoot and repair systems as required. Operate and maintain associated distribution systems such as explosive and industrial gasses.
- Inspect and maintain potable water and waste water distribution systems and associated equipment. Provide cross connection control on all piping/plumbing systems, maintaining historical records of backflow inspections.
- Consult with supervision and/or engineering on the most unusual problems and recommend corrective actions/solutions.
- Inspect, troubleshoot and repair systems such as high and low vacuum, plating equipment, RO water and related process equipment. Maintain, troubleshoot, install, overhaul and repair complex pumps and related systems.
- Install, modify and repair hazardous chemical systems. Perform chemical analysis, maintenance and repair as needed on various systems.
- Comply with all Company, Federal and State Environmental and Safety regulations and procedures.
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance to departmental procedures and requirements. Implement operational and procedural changes as required
- Advise, assist and coordinate with other trades/personnel as required. Provide coaching and direction to lower graded employees. Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area. Perform other maintenance and construction duties as assigned to support department objectives
This position will initially be assigned to work 1st shift (7:00 AM-3:30 PM) and will be expected to work overtime on a voluntary or mandatory basis per business and operational requirements.
Qualifications You Must Have
High school diploma or GED
Experience with commercial plumbing systems including commercial restrooms
State of Florida Backflow Tester certification or willingness and ability to be certified within the first year of employment
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
