Overview:
The Global X OCC Coordinator serves as the vital link between the Ground Handling Department and OCC (Operations Control Center). Their role involves coordinating, supervising, and ensuring follow-through with designated handlers, fuel providers, catering services, cleaning services, security, and more. The OCC Coordinator&39;s primary objective is to gather all necessary information to ensure the seamless operation of each flight. This position is designed to alleviate the workload of various departments (Sales, Catering, Security) involved in daily flight operations by providing support and ensuring the successful execution of contracted services. The coordinator reports to the OCC Director and holds a position within OCC.
Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Ground Coordinator encompass, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assisting dispatchers on duty with maintaining operational control, TSA vetting, and the transmission of passenger flight manifests, including the generation of GENDECS.
- Relaying ground handling requests and operational schedules to downline stations and updating them on flight status.
- Coordinating flight information and delays with office staff and stations using the company&39;s RAIDO/NOC system.
- Reviewing and reconfirming all details for the next day&39;s ground handling, catering, and special services.
- Following up with stations on any irregularities or service failures.
- Updating departure/arrival information in RAIDO.
- Assisting flight dispatchers in disseminating flight-critical information (diversions, emergencies, etc.) to all internal departments through the RED FLAG reporting system.
- Notifying all internal departments and involved stations of flight delay information.
- Securing Miami gate and ramp parking assignments with the assistance of the local ground handling team.
- Coordinating fueling with local vendors for departures out of Miami.
- Assisting in coordinating aircraft movement/placement at the home base.
- Reporting all ferry flights departing MIA daily to Miami-Dade County Ramp Control.
- Making all applicable manifest changes for non-terminal operations for future flights by email and forwarding the corrected manifest to the assigned GSC, Ground Handler, and Passenger Services.
- Contacting all assigned FBOs for the next day&39;s operation to review report time and remind them to coordinate with assigned screeners when applicable.
- Using Airline Choice, coordinating with the Handler for all manifest changes during flight check-in to remove no-show passengers or clear add-on passengers for security, ensuring the correct total of passengers boarded with the crew before the aircraft can depart.
- For international flights and non-terminal ops, transmitting all Domestic and International APIS information to Customs.
- Following up with the Security Department on any discrepancies with CBP and APIS programs.
- Assisting Dispatch with phone calls, flight following, managing abnormal operations, and performing any other required duties.
- Communicating aircraft movement messages to destination stations and TACC (Traffic Assignment Coordination Center).

Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position should possess:
- A proven track record and solid knowledge and experience in all aspects of Airside Operations (Ramp, Traffic, Baggage, etc.).
- Previous experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
- Aviation qualifications (FAA certificates).
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with senior management, Miami Dade gate assignment personnel, and service providers, ensuring efficient and effective execution of operational plans and activities.
- An understanding of airport and airline ground operations.
- Proficiency in computer usage.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A strong command of the English language.
- Flexibility to work in a 24/7 operation with holidays, weekends, shift work, and occasional short-notice callouts.
- Availability to work 4 days per week, with 10-hour shifts.
