The nurse will provide onsite services and split time between the Baltimore, MD and Annapolis, MD sites.
Hours: Mon. – Fri. 7:30 am – 4:00 pm - Nurse will have the opportunity to work an alternate work day schedule if preferred (9/80).
Description of Nurse 3 Duties:
Respond to emergencies and administer first aid to employees for job related illnesses and injuries.
Deliver OSHA and job/site/contract required surveillance program services (i.e. hearing conservation, respiratory protection, visual acuity, bloodborne pathogens, biological monitoring, etc.) to identified employee populations in collaboration with Environmental Health and Safety.
Maintain accurate recordkeeping in electronic medical records system (Cority) in compliance with OSHA requirements.
Dispense OTC Medications.
Work with industrial toxicology and/or hygienists to recognize environmental factors and/or stresses in or from the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health, or discomfort among the workers. Nurse will assist in providing appropriate training to management and employees.
Maintain compliance with laws, regulations and standards governing occupational health and safety for employees and the workplace.
Required Basic Qualifications:
At least 5+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse with Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and internet navigation
Required certifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years in occupational health
Strong presentation skills
Ability to work independently or with a team on special projects
Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously
Ability to maintain confidential documents and information
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time under tight deadlines
Ability to function within all levels of organization and at various locations
Preferred Certifications:
Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC)
Spirometry (NIOSH approved course optimal)
Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN)
Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)
Salary Range: $84,600 - $127,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
