This position is located in Huntsville, AL and supports the Strategic Deterrent System (SDS) Division.
What You Will Get To Do:
Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment.
Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.
Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities and machinery.
Substantial acquaintance with and understanding of general aspects of the job with a broad understanding of the detailed aspects of the job.
Direct supervision and instructions given for routine work and detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments.
General supervision and instructions given for routine work and detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments.
Duties & tasks are varied but standardized.
Performs some more advanced functions.
Resolves routine questions and problems, and refers more complex questions to higher levels.
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or experience working in the facility maintenance career field as a Maintenance Technician.
Strong computer, math, analytical, and planning skills
Knowledge of general maintenance processes, methods and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and/or devices.
Active, In scope DoD Secret or SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Comfortable working on computers
CMMS experience
Hands-on Maintenance experience with Mechanical Systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
An AA degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance
Salary Range: $46,400 - $77,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
