Kaunas Aircraft Maintenance Services, or simply called KAMS, is one of Ryanairs technical support bases in Europe, located at Kaunas airport, Lithuania. Our daily task is to perform technical maintenance and repair for Boeing 737-800 aircraft which are serviced in our hangars. KAMS goal is to provide highest level of services and ensure Ryanair passengers fly safely.
We are seeking Health and Safety Officer to enhance and develop our companys safety culture and ensure compliance with national legislation. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in promoting continuous improvement in health and safety matters.
Position based in Kaunas, Lithuania.
Responsibilities:
- Coordination and supervision of occupational safety and health programs;
- Organization and delivery of training sessions;
- Conducting health and safety audits, monitoring corrective actions taken;
- Organizing, executing, and controlling employee health checks and consulting on all matters related to employee safety, health, and fire safety;
- Developing and maintaining health and safety policies, documents, work instructions, and campaigns to sustain an effective health and safety system and culture;
- Organizing qualification tests, certification processes, and overseeing their validity;
- Organizing employee information and education on occupational safety and health (OSH), participating in discussions on safe work practices, and following legal changes;
- Ensuring employees comply with occupational and fire safety requirements;
- Investigating workplace accidents, organizing the completion and submission of necessary documents to the responsible institutions, analyzing incidents, and planning preventive measures;
- Organizing, conducting, and coordinating professional risk assessments in the company, arranging risk factor studies, and preparing preventive measures;
- Advising the company on the status of OSH and providing suggestions for improvements;
- Collaborating with responsible institutions and representing the company during audits;
- Analyzing results and monitoring trends to identify problem areas and make informed, effective decisions.
Requirements - At least 2 years of practical experience in occupational safety and health;
- Good knowledge of Lithuanian and English (B1), both spoken and written;
- Occupational safety and health specialist certification;
- Fire safety specialist certification – an advantage;
- Higher education;
- Computer literacy;
- Good knowledge of occupational safety and health laws and regulations;
- Willingness to continually improve knowledge and skills in workplace safety;
- Accuracy, attention to detail, ability to work in a team, and time management skills;
- Organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to manage, systematize, summarize, analyze information, and prepare conclusions and proposals with strong analytical skills.
