What Youll Get to Do
Under the supervision of the Crew Scheduling Manager, the Crew Planning & Training Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the booking of required dead-head travel, courses, meeting space, group meals, and car rentals for flight crews. They are also responsible to enter Crew Members schedules in the applicable software (VMO) to check for CARs and CBA compliance.
- Responsible to prepare the monthly bid packages for all Crew Members in Google Sheets; including awarded vacation, initial and recurrent flight and ground training (CRM, TECH, First Aid, etc.), statutory holiday requests, and employee leaves
- Roster all pre-awards within VMO prior to the bid packages release dates
- Arrange all deadheads, hotels, Company housing, and third-party flights associated with Crew Members monthly scheduled flying and any planned flight and ground training
- In coordination with the Chief Pilot (or delegate), arrange all training room bookings
- In coordination with the Crew Planning Specialist, roster all Crew Member’s monthly schedules in VMO, ensuring conformance with the CUPE/ALPA collective agreements and compliance with the CARS
- Conduct a monthly gap analysis of the Certificate Expiry Report for compliance of all Crew Member’s required training & follow up where required
- Act as an administrative support to the Flight Operations department by initiating communication to Crew Members when requested
- Other duties as assigned
Skills & Experience We Value
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Post-secondary education in related field considered an asset
- Previous aviation experience considered an asset
- Computer skills (MS Office) with emphasis on Excel
- Logistics and forward planning experience would be considered a strong asset
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and written
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain all required enhanced security clearances
- Inuktitut language considered an asset
- Preference will be given to Inuit Land Claims Beneficiaries
