BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 2+ years of professional industrial corrosion control experience
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of industrial painting experience
- Knows how to work around high pressure systems
- Know the difference between Relief Valves and Filters, able to successfully R&R them
- Understanding of heavy equipment safety standards
- Familiarity with paint processes and applications
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively in a high pace environment
- Self-motivated individual able to work independently or in a team environment and willing to learn
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral
- Ability to work 1st shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm
- Willing to work overtime and adjusted shifts to meet critical launch milestones
- Ability to wear and obtain certification in the wearing of an air respirator
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted
- Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
- Able to work at elevated heights (up to 300 feet), including the use of ladder
- Willing to operate heavy machinery
- Able to perform routine maintenance on pumps, motors etc.
- Able to work in confined spaces
- Typically exposed to work in extreme outdoor environments – heat, cold, rain, ice
- Work performed in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noise
- Willing to be cross-trained as a preventive maintenance technician
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Corrosion Control Technician/Level 1: $20.00 - $24.50/hour
Corrosion Control Technician/Level 2: $23.00 - $29.00/hour
Corrosion Control Technician/Level 3: $27.00 - $35.00/hour
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
