Job Description:

Responsible for lean deployment and implementation, cost reduction development, production readiness for new programs, methods improvement, capital expenditure justification, plant layout, operational procedures and special projects upon request.

C.tDuties & Responsibilities:
tDuties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
1.tManufacturing and continuous improvement programs
a.tAssist and drive flow improvement projects
b.tWork with design engineers on new product development, design for manufacturability, and house of quality deployment.
2.tProject Expenditure Justification
a.tAnalyze proposed requests for cost reduction or necessity for operation
b.tWork with suppliers to obtain equipment quotes
3.tCost Reduction
a.tAnalyze cost reduction possibilities and develop cost reduction proposals
b.tDevelop cost comparison of present and proposed methods
c.tImplement cost reductions and follow-up to assure attainment
d.tConduct time studies to verify labor savings
4.tDocumentation and Systems requirements
a.tPrepare and maintain operation sheets
b.tProcess Engineering Change Orders.
c.tMaintain documentation as required in MFGPRO

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:
\tEducation-
\tRequired-\tBS Degree – Engineering or Technical field with 5 years experience.
.
\tPreferred-\tRelated additional years of experience may be substitute for education.

\tExperience-
\tRequired-\tMinimum five years in a general manufacturing environment preferred. 2 years experience with lean deployment. Proficiency with CAD, autocad preferred.
