We believe that inclusion helps us thrive and grow at United across our collaborative Finance teams consisting of Financial Planning & Analysis, Internal Audit, Treasury, Global Procurement, Controllership, Investor Relations and more. These teams provide the financial fuel that keeps our operation running from providing detailed analyses of financial planning, performance, and forecasts to managing our investments and financial strategies. Our Finance team plays an integral role in making our airline profitable and successful by meeting our financial goals.
Key Responsibilities: This role focuses on end-to-end operational/gross pay processes and employee pay experience for related labor groups and ensures gross pay for employees is as accurate and as timely as possible. This role provides analytical support to operational pay, corporate payroll, HR, LR, Legal and operations teams for pay and time & attendance related issues covering to all ground groups (Contact Centers and other non-crew groups), and analyzes data to monitor performance and contract non-compliance cases. This role monitors vendor employee performance on outsourced payroll activities to ensure compliance and on time processing of payroll.
- Provides guidance and oversight to IGT vendor employees on payroll process work for assigned contracts / stations including interval & data input and eTA crew sheet review
- Main point of contact for IGT vendor employees on local regulations related to payroll
- Engages with local employees to address issues and / or questions regarding payroll
- Provides support as needed to the operation in order to complete payroll deadlines on time
- Monitors vendor employee performance to ensure consistency and compliance with multiple collective bargaining agreements and Company guidelines, procedures, and standards
- Assists in executing payroll process improvements including core processes as well as the use of data analytics dashboards and other available reports
- Works with the data analytics team, as needed, related to necessary enhancements or new reporting needs
- Provides diagnostic support for pay issues
- Monitors Help Hub response quality and timeliness handled by IGT and answers Help Hub escalations and management payroll inquiries
- Conducts training for station(s) as needed related to functions that impact payroll
- Local support for Legal & HR with questions regarding local payroll rules or processes

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): - Bachelors degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in Bachelors degree in business, systems, or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of finance, payroll, or operations experience
- Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills to all employee levels
- Proven ability to influence in a matrix organization
- Ability to work cross-functionally
- Self-directed, creative problem solver
- Ability to develop and deliver clear, concise, and compelling executive-ready communications with minimal guidance
- Ability to travel as needed
- Must be able to travel internationally for 1-2 weeks at a time at least once or twice a year
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
