KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The New Pacific Airlines Station Manager is responsible for safe, productive, and professional airport operations in Homer. The Station Manager ensures their team has the equipment and materials necessary to operate safely, sometimes in extreme conditions, and must be able to work in all areas of their airport to support their team, ensure smooth operations, and to uphold customer relations. Other responsibilities aligned with New Pacific’s Core Values include but are not limited to:

  • Upholding safety by maintaining oversight of airport safety to include responsibility for daily ramp safety inspections, hazard identification, conducting monthly safety meetings, investigating all accidents/incidents at the respective airport location, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for all employers and customers;
  • Demonstrating commitment through maintaining administrative oversight for their location, including reconciling employee timesheets, as well coding and approving airport expenses, and conducting personnel management to include hiring, discipline, employee evaluations, and staff scheduling;
  • Acting with integrity when engaging in customer relations to ensure they have their pulse on the needs of the community, building and maintaining a strong reputation within the community on behalf of the company;
  • Embodying the spirit of connectedness by communicating with appropriate departments and individuals regarding shifts in flight demand or other changes;
  • Showing reliability through monitoring completion of training for assigned duties to include necessary recurrent training, ensuring employees are performing duties in a safe and efficient manner that complies with company and regulatory policies and procedures;
  • Promoting commitment by engaging in courteous and respectful interactions with customers, supervisors, co-workers, and business associates.

Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will have previous airline operations experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to uphold company policy and procedures. Other qualifications include:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for continuing education in operational management;
  • Must have a minimum of two years supervisory experience, preferably in the airline industry;
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record;
  • Must have strong leadership skills with the ability to consider safety requirements, business needs, and operations while problem-solving;
  • Must have the ability to multi-task, work independently, and adapt quickly to fluctuating workloads and priorities;
  • Must be capable of demonstrating a high standard for conscientious and courteous customer service to internal and external customers, and leading by example;
  • Must have a high level of accuracy in computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook;
  • Must have good interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills;
  • Must be able to exercise confidentiality for safety and security reasons;
  • Must have a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS).
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
  • Must be comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.
