What You Will Do:
The Senior Supervisor, Quality Engineering will provide leadership and guidance to a multi-skilled group of team members engaged in the assembly of jet engine components while applying CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), Lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, throughput and delivery integrity.
Provide technical guidance and training to Modular Assembly Inspectors; allocate/reallocate Inspectors according to business needs
Ensure employees are adequately trained and work in a safe and environmentally sound manner; execute business decisions in a fair and equitable manner, conduct annual performance reviews, hold regular toolbox meetings, provide two-way communications, consistent application of policy/work rules, clear, consistent communication of organizational goals and objectives
Actively participate on a plant wide team and be flexible and available on all shifts
Lead teams to investigate the root cause of escapes and non-conformances and determine appropriate corrective/preventive actions
Assist in a variety of Quality Engineering tasks including, but not limited to quality notification creation, accrual tracking, and processing temporary release paperwork
Travel less than 10
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 5 years experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, program/project management or quality environment or a Masters Degree and minimum 3 years experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, program/project management or quality environment
In absence of a degree, 9 or more years experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, program/project management or quality environment
Working knowledge of shop practices, processes and procedures
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Demonstrated flexibility / adaptability in high stress, ambiguous environments along with demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer:
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace or closely related technical degree)
Demonstrated skill and success in team leadership, facilitation & coaching skills
CORE, Lean, Six-Sigma knowledge
Proficiency SAP and Solumina
The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
