Position Summary
As a Senior Project Lead you will execute Subject Matter Expert (SME) research and develop constructive models, such as Radars, Jammers, Radar Warning Receivers, Countermeasures and Weapons to support an advanced synthetic training environment. The Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) software you will support is integrated into flight simulators to support pilot training against potential threats.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Act as a Project Lead for programs and link between military personnel and NGTS team members. Able to operate applications for software development that are used for bug tracking, issue tracking and agile software development , e.g., JIRA, Confluence and GitHub.
- Assist software development team in developing high-end threat models to support military aircrew training objectives in all phases of air-to-air combat and air-to-ground strike.
- Develop scenarios using tactical knowledge, to include both friendly and adversary tactics and various warfighting platforms, land, sea and air.
- Conduct NGTS Training, both in class and virtual and participate in modeling, simulation, and training conferences such as Interservice/ Industry Training, Simulation, and Education Conference (I/ITSEC)

Minimum Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
The required skills and knowledge include:
- Ability to develop fiscal year requirement planning for assigned projects. Demonstrated skills to ensure that assigned project funding remains within budget, develop Monthly Status Reports to provide to customers.
- Critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are a must to bring tactical warfighting knowledge to modeling and simulation.
- Technical background in weapons systems, radar mechanics, aircraft performance, etc.
- Experience with Air Force and/or Navy simulated training.
- Experience with Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) training environments.
The minimum years of related experience required:
- 6-8 years experience as a former tactical aircraft Pilot or NFO.
Education
The minimum level of education required is:
- B.S. in Electronics, Computer, Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Mathematician, or equivalent from an ABET-accredited institution.
Desired Requirements
The desired skills, knowledge, and education include:
- Prior process knowledge of conducting software testing is highly valuable as personnel are required to participate in the generation of software test plans and procedures.
- Prefer candidates with experience supporting Special Access Programs and related Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) work history.
- Big plus would be if prospective hire has experience with NGTS.
Other Qualifications
Outside of the above, other certifications, licenses, or clearances include:
- Must have an active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
