The SMA will be responsible for leading, coaching and directing a high-performance media delivery and coordination team. They will also be responsible for building and managing annual and long-term budgets for the media sales organization.
Responsibilities:Lead the development of the GTM strategy for agency, partner and direct sales pipelinesLead the sales negotiation process for agencies and direct deals Lead a team of operations, account and coordination managers, foster a sense of entrepreneurial team spirit Lead the product AdTech business requirements for future technology development Create a center of excellence for media sales, balancing customer experience and financial target metrics Responsible for delivering fast revenue growth targets set by the organization Develop relationships with key advertiser and agency partners.Develop and own the Air Canada media inventory and set related media value through a rate card Responsible for reporting insights to relevant internal and external stakeholders, utilize feedback and optimize operational and sales funnels Work directly with data science and analytics teams to create relevant audiences for purposes of media sales Manage sales team inclusive of agencies to deliver on revenue targets inclusive of sales goal, sales efficiency, operating margin, and customer service metrics Develop and recommend strategies aimed to improve overall effectiveness of team, regularly coach and mentor team members on best-in-class sales practices Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly sales targets to internal and external stakeholdersBuild and maintain consultative business relationships with Key Decision Makers (KDMs) for advertising partners
Qualifications8-10 years in an advertising sales or account management role, B2B experience is a plusBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, spaneting, or a related fieldExperience managing a sales team of 5+ direct reports Experience in owning a sales pipeline and exceeding sales quotas Knowledgeable about AdTech, MarTech, Programmatic media, digital and omni-channel spaneting, and personalizationExceptional operational skills, including experience managing strategic accountsAbility to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentOwnership mindset with propensity for finding unique solutions to business challengesExcellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation abilitiesExperience with airline media preferred
