Our United Express team selects and manages our airline partners and ground handlers that carry the United Express name, ensuring a safe and profitable operation, and providing flights to smaller communities across the entire country.
Key Responsibilities:The responsibilities of this role include managing the planning, execution and reporting of strategic projects for UAX. Projects include aircraft modifications, infrastructure investments in Inflight, Flight Operations and any other TechOps related initiative that require Project Management support, including building the business case for new projects/initiatives
Also, the Sr. Manager will be responsible for coordinating with Corporate Communication and any other United team development and administration of any communications associated with the United Express operation.
- Manage the planning, execution of, and reporting on, strategic projects in UAX, including aircraft projects, station start-ups and technology projects
- Provide analytical and strategic support to the UAX leadership on decision making and execution of strategic initiatives
- Support development and execution of UAX partner and team communications, including workshops and bulletins
- Create and present to Sr. Leadership periodic updates associated with UAX Projects and communications
- Work as a liaison between our partner carriers and other United operating groups to solve problems and improve collaboration between teams
- Manage the development of direct reports
Note: This is a Chicago-based, hybrid role with a 50 in-office requirement.

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business, Finance, Project Management, Engineering
- 5+ years’ work experience
- 2+ years managing projects
- Demonstrated successful project delivery
- Experience managing large projects (using EDBA/PMLC)
- Working knowledge of different communication platforms leveraged by United currently
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel Skills
- Efficiency, time management, ability to prioritize
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Executive presence
- Comfortable with Ambiguity; able to multitask
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
