Role Summary:
This position is based in Ansty Park with accountability for approximately 800 team members across three manufacturing sites and leadership of a HR team size of 8. This role will report directly to the EMEA Area HR Manager within Aerospace Group and you will partner closely with various Division HR Managers. You will work closely with the Site General Manager, Division and Value Stream Leaders to ensure that business objectives are achieved in line with the Parker WIN Strategy. A key part of the role is to develop the HR team to provide an excellent employee experience and support business growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a HR leader looking to work in a flagship site; driving results with a variety of projects to deliver.
Your day-to-day:
- To champion and support a Safety-First culture within the business
- Drive Employee Engagement, Diversity & Inclusion, high performance culture and development of employees
- Credible business partner to the Site General Manager, Division leaders and Value Stream Leaders – developing a deep understanding of the business and its operations
- Support HR related integration projects for Parker Meggitt in Ansty Park and the UK
- Lead site communications, ensuring site town halls, notice boards and all internal communications content is shared according to Corporate standards and in an engaging manner
- To develop and implement bespoke people strategies aligned to Parker Meggitt’s Annual Improvement Priorities
- You will ensure HR best practice for policy, procedure and processes are implemented in line with UK legislation
- Develop data insights and HR analytics to make informed decisions and measure value, including delivery of HR goals
- Lead the annual pay negotiations and build strong partnerships with Union representatives
- Ensure Parker’s Reward principles are adhered to; approval of all salary increases, promotions and T&C changes for the Ansty Park site. Accountable for monthly payroll sign-off
Who were looking for:
- A university Degree in a relevant field combined with a deep level of HR experience
- Must have leadership experience in HR Management roles, including business partnering to senior leaders
- Credible business leader who can demonstrate a broad business understanding, commercial acumen and a contribution to enhancing organisational performance
- A good balance between strategic and operational mindset combined with high focus on results and able to get into the details
- Deadline driven, able to communicate and influence at all levels, delegate effectively and drive a high performance culture
- Experience of working in a Unionised environment is an essential
