Job Description:

Description:Field Support Technician responsible for the introduction, installation and testing of the latest ARCI SONAR technology to the US Navy Submarine Fleet. Support the ARCI Customer Support Center and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) Lab. The successful candidate will support modernization and new construction efforts for all classes of submarines. This position will require the selected candidate to work on-site at the Manassas, VA facility full-time.
Basic Qualifications:
• Ability to obtain and hold a Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
• Work on occasion will require extended travel to Naval bases and Shipyards – up to 50
• The ability to go up/down ladders and work in confined spaces is an ongoing requirement
• Experience inspecting, installing, and testing SONAR systems
• Ability to interpret drawings, wiring diagrams and plans
• Experience in procedure development
• Ability to adapt to dynamic business environment
Desired Skills:
• ARCI knowledge
• Previous Navy Experience
• Background/knowledge of the US Submarine Service and associated installed systems
• SONAR experience
• Preferred experience with cable (both copper and fiber) fabrication and testing
• Understanding of all functional area dependencies (systems, software, and hardware)
• Presentation skills to leadership, US Government, and US Navy customers
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience working in classified/access-controlled facilities
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
