R&D Manager

Honeywells ACST team is seeking a R&D Manager for our Golden Valley, MN location. In this role you will provide technical expertise, guidance, and mentorship to a team of engineers and scientists, driving innovation and the development of cutting-edge solutions. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting research, and implementing best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of R&D activities.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Honeywell to deliver creative solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers 
  • You will work with a large research team to architect, design, build, and test custom cryogenic components and subsystems; including pumping, fluid/gas circulation, vacuum, and related technologies
  • Lead/Manage a group of scientists and engineers 
  • Write/deliver performance appraisals, approve expense reports, set and evaluate goals and ensure team success in meeting near-term breakthroughs 
  • Accountable for delivery of technological milestones

 US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS

  • "U.S. citizenship is required due to contractual requirements. Applicants must also be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of security processing."

 YOU MUST HAVE

  • US Citizenship to obtain or maintain a security clearance
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics
  • 10+ years technical experience
  • 5+ years leadership experience

 WE VALUE

  • Masters degree in Engineering or related field
  • Experience leading and mentoring scientists 
  • Experience developing project and resource plans 
  • Interest in working in a rapid prototyping environment 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in Digital R&D/ Component and Systems Modeling

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • The annual base salary or/ hourly pay range for this position is $142000-$177000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidates work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
  • This position is incentive plan eligible.
