Position Summary:
AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Mobile, Alabama that is an international pioneer in the aerospace industry. They are a leader in designing, manufacturing and delivering aerospace products, services and solutions to customers on a global scale. A commercial aircraft manufacturer, with Space and Defense as well as Helicopters Divisions, they are the largest aeronautics and space company in Europe and a worldwide leader.
The Project Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of aircraft completion projects, from initial planning, execution of work instructions and to final completion. This includes coordinating with internal teams, such as engineering, quality and production, as well as external stakeholders, such as suppliers and customers.
Essential Functions:
- Provides day-to-day leadership of projects and project teams, for management, monitoring, and reporting activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Articulate clearly in verbal and written communications; model and manage the sequence and stages of project development; and apply good decision-making skills in taking direction from the client and giving direction to the project team.
- Provides primary point of contact to client, contractors and consultants at project level.
- Prepares and administers project execution plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Reviews completeness and accuracy of deliverables prepared by team before issuance, and implements quality assurance procedures.
- Coordinates the work of support resources, including project leads and/or administrative staff, as required.
- Manages the day-to-day operational aspects of projects, including tracking of team hours and updates to project revenue forecasts.
- Attends project meetings, and manages the production of agendas and meeting minutes.
- Participates in internal business operations including business development and staff development.
- Performs such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deems necessary.

Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent in training, education and/or experience.
- 7+ years experience in the aviation manufacturing or heavy commercial aircraft maintenance with progression of responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; able to manage project tasks, scope change, and schedules to keep projects on-track.
- Experience managing and leading teams to execute projects on-time and budget, while delivering a high degree of customer satisfaction.
- Liaison with the customer representative on site, provide scheduled updates and review of the project/program.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to assess technical and programmatic issues.
- Self-starter demonstrating solid judgment; understands when to seek guidance but has strong ability to think and act independently under limited oversight and direction.
- Excellent and professional communication skills in all forms and formats (public speaking, team meetings, PowerPoint, memos, emails, charters, internal/external, etc.).
