Project Manager III
Kent, WA
Contract Position
Responsibilities:
Oversee the transition of component acceptance testing from a development test environment to rate production testing.
Manage the end-to-end testing process, including vibration, dynamics, cryogenic, thermal, and functional testing, to ensure our components meet the rigorous demands of aerospace environments.
- Coordinate with engineering and production teams to transition components from development to rate production testing phases.
- Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure testing protocols meet company standards for vibration, dynamics, cryogenic, thermal, and functional testing.
- Oversee the setup and maintenance of test environments, apparatus, and schedules to maximize efficiency.
- Maintain clear communication with the project team, provide regular updates, and adjust plans as necessary to address any changes or challenges.
- Collaborate with supply chain partners to ensure timely delivery of components and testing equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management experience.
- 5 years of experience in a project management role, preferably in aerospace manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of component testing methodologies, specifically related to vibration, dynamics, cryogenic, thermal, and functional tests.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proven track record of leading teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Office and laboratory environment with frequent visits to manufacturing and test facilities.
- May be required to work outside regular business hours to meet project deadlines.
