Position Summary
MAG Aerospace is bidding on a NAVWAR PEO C4I program out of San Diego and contingently hiring for a Program Manager with a current TS/SCI.
This position will manage and support a high level NAVWAR program while directing personnel, acquisitions, program objectives, finances, schedules, overall performance, supervise ongoing technical efforts and provide in depth reporting.
Salary Range
175k - 200k
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
The PM is required to provide overall leadership and guidance for all contractor personnel assigned to the TO, including assigning tasks to contractor personnel, supervising ongoing technical efforts, and managing overall TO performance.
The PM is responsible for the quality and efficiency of the TO, including both technical issues and business processes.
The PM shall have authority to commit resources of the prime contractor’s organization and decisions for the contractor’s organization in response to Government issues, concerns, and comments, as well as be proactive in alerting the Government to potential contractual or programmatic and resource limitations issues.
- Perform management consisting of planning, contracts execution, evaluation of employees, selecting subcontractor(s) and managing subcontracts.
- Conduct schedule management including task/activity definition and sequencing, resource estimating, task duration estimating schedule development, and schedule control activities.
- Coordinate all aspects of contract management.
- Available to the COR and Contracting Officer during normal business hours and shall be available during all other times as required.
- Manage all contractor personnel assigned to the contract to ensure that all are performing appropriately.
- Review program CDRL documents for consistency of schedules, compliance, and financial document requirements.
- Coordinate with affected subordinate PMs on contractor personnel.
- Evaluate and balance anticipated budget expectations.
- Provide support in preparing briefing packages for presentation to high level leadership as required.
- Meet with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review tasks plans and deliverables.
- Ensure conformance with program tasks, schedules and costs.
- Manage project scope to include project initiation, scope planning, scope definition and scope change control activities.
- Conduct cost management to include resource planning, cost estimating, budgeting and cost control activities.
- Support organizational planning, project team acquisition, and staff development activities.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Ten (10) or more years of managerial experience within Navy or other DoD organizations (i.e. familiarity or experience in Program Management, Acquisition Management, and Contracts Management).
Education
- Masters Degree preferred
- Bachelors Degree is accepted with an additional 4 years of experience (bringing the above to 14 years of experience)
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR), and Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (PEO C4I).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP)
