Job Summary

The Manager Revenue Management invests in the future of Southwests People by leading and championing their Team as they work to identify risks and drive revenue production and/or cost reduction actions to meet plan targets. This role will ensure that their Team provides critically important input for decision support in long-term and annual financial planning, analysis, and companywide initiatives. The Manager Revenue Management brings an operational mindset and Heart for People Leadership to this important Team, where theyll have the opportunity to drive their own career with Heart and the future of Southwest.

Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and contribute to the partnerships within the business to identify risks and drive revenue production and/or cost reduction actions to meet plan targets
- Effectively lead and coach a team of 3-6 individuals, build a strong and diverse team
- Advise and guide revenue, variance, and trending analysis for key performance drivers and metrics
- Advise and guide the development of new forecasting models and improve accuracy and insights of current models
- Establish deliverable timelines ensuring plans, analysis, projects, and/or presentations are delivered on time
- Proactively analyze high level business trends to create "state of the business"
- Communicate analytical findings with different audience including Sr. Executive
- Coordinate across commercial partners to recommend strategy decisions to optimize revenue
- Interact with and extract data from relational database systems
- Create tracking mechanisms and actively follows-up to gauge impact of actions
- Generate ad-hoc or standardized reports that summarizes the business and monitor multiple data sources and is responsible for maintaining data integrity
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employees Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning and resource allocation
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services including marketing strategy and tactics, and product demonstration
- Proficient in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Knowledge in collecting, organizing, visualizing, and assimilating data, including turning raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software
- Knowledge in understanding and applying information to contribute to the organizations strategic plan
- Ability in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
- Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events)
- Ability to tell or recognize when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading team(s)
- Fully functioning, broad knowledge in:
- Revenue Management and analysis, thought leadership, and building strong relationships
- Demonstrated track history of communicating effectively using a variety of styles and techniques based on the intended audience
- Translating complex financial information into actionable insights through simple storytelling
- Leading or collaborating with teams to anticipate issues and address challenging situations; drives efficiency to enhance performance
- Leading problem solving efforts through delegation, collaboration, and teamwork
- Revenue Management and Pricing theory, strategy and practice (customer demand, bid price controls, dual RBD, etc.)
- One or more of: SQL, Tableau, Alteryx
- Responsible for large scale pricing and revenue management strategies and implementation to maximize revenue
Physical Abilities
- Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Pay of $ 130,750.00 to $145,300.00 per year*, with the opportunity for future increase per applicable collective bargaining agreement wage scale based on time in position. Opportunities for overtime and shift premiums.
