YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE:
As a manager, Vulnerability Management, you will be responsible for overseeing a Vulnerability Management team focused on reducing attack surface in the Delta environment. This role will partner with IT infrastructure and application teams across the organization to ensure a risk-based approach to vulnerability management is embedded into their daily work. The Manager will balance their time between technical thought-leadership, hands-on solution collaboration, and talent development. This role provides technical guidance and mentoring to the team to achieve high-quality results. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, and management skills, along with an ability to lead training sessions and workshops for staff members.
- Lead a team in the execution of providing accurate, comprehensive, and actionable reporting around the proper configuration, timely patching, and reduction of vulnerabilities across many different technology types.
- Update, communicate and execute on the long-term strategic plan around vulnerability management.
- Work with risk management teams to develop consistent and actionable risk ratings and using that across multiple technologies to create a risk based, actionable remediation requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and support vulnerability management program that include regular scans and assessments of the organization’s systems, network and applications to identify security vulnerabilities.
- Improve and mature vulnerability reporting to key stakeholders, and drive remediation efforts by communicating, clearly articulating, and prioritizing risk and impact to all stakeholders to convey the urgency and need to remediate a vulnerability commensurate with the risk it presents.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including IT, security, development and business teams, to raise awareness and promote best practices in vulnerability management.
- Improve reporting maturity through automation, consolidation, and other techniques as necessary.
- Work with multiple teams to align scanning, reporting and tracking in compliance with industry regulations and standards related to vulnerability management, such as PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS benchmarks.
- Manage and maintain all vulnerability management and reporting tools, including continuous improvement efforts, efficiency improvements and periodic deep dives into tools and processes to evaluate fit for use.
- Track and report key risk indicators and key performance indicators to leadership and stakeholders on regular basis.
- Effectively communicate technical issues to non-technical leaders
