Responsibilities
The Manager of Airport Services Quality Assurance & Compliance is responsible for leading a team of Auditors to ensure operational compliance with Spirit’s corporate procedures at airport stations. This role involves conducting thorough station audits, assessing the effectiveness of airport procedures, and overseeing the implementation of training and technology initiatives. The Manager will utilize data analysis to identify compliance gaps and collaborate with leadership to allocate resources effectively, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence in airport services.
- Lead a team of QA & Compliance Auditors, utilizing data to guide their use of checklists and conduct station observations to identify procedural compliance gaps.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports to leadership detailing compliance status with Spirits station protocols, including recommended corrective actions.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of Spirit’s Airport Operations manuals to ensure adherence to established standards.
- Communicate promptly and effectively with leadership regarding operational safety issues and regulatory concerns.
- Support ongoing compliance with IOSA ISARPs, ensuring that all standards are met consistently.
- Analyze data and performance metrics to provide recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor analytics that reflect station compliance and the adoption rates of new procedures and technologies.
- Mentor and coach team members to enhance the quality of their work and develop their skill-sets.
- Oversee the scheduling of auditors, ensuring audits are assigned to stations in alignment with regulatory requirements and divisional priorities.
- Collaborate with divisional and external stakeholders to promote safety, compliance, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and their implications for Spirit’s operations.
- Manage the formal Corrective Action Process for the auditing team, ensuring that corrective actions are accepted and resolved by Station leadership.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with leadership while fostering a positive and collaborative environment within the Airport Services team and among stakeholders.
- Compile and present reports highlighting procedural, technology, and training deficiencies based on trends identified through audits.
- Support and conduct Safety Risk Evaluations, pinpointing potential risks within airport operations.
- Work closely with training and compliance specialists to facilitate station observations and audits led by station leaders.
- Serve as a QA & Compliance Auditor as needed within operations.
- Generate monthly reports outlining auditing trends for Airport Services Senior Leaders.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate, such as emergencies, changes in workload, urgent tasks, or technical developments.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years experience of QA; Compliance; Airport Operations
- Work experience, preferably in 14CFR Part 121 air carrier operations: ground operations, quality, other operations, safety - or a combination thereof.
- Domestic & International travel 50
- Exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.

Specialized Experience
- Quality Assurance Expertise: Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and best practices in airport operations.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and IOSA standards relevant to the aviation industry.
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing compliance data and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Auditing Skills: Experience in conducting formal audits and compliance assessments to evaluate adherence to procedures.
- Training and Development: Ability to design and conduct training programs to improve staff competencies regarding compliance and quality.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with software and tools used for data analysis, reporting, and documentation in the aviation sector.
- Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency: Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for data management and presentation.
