How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) Supply Chain Management is responsible for sourcing and managing contracts in support of Business Units. This position builds and sustains relationships with business leaders, suppliers and sourcing professionals.SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES (NOT COMPREHENSIVE OF ALL TASKS):Required to lead cross-functional teamsMust develop and execute sourcing strategies to align with the business units goals, provide Delta with optimum value, and maintain supply assuranceLeads supplier RFPs, negotiations, and supplier selectionManages ongoing contract compliance and commercial relationships with suppliers; identifying and pursuing savings strategiesDevelops both strategic & tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-beingSome travel is required
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Current MBA Student.Students must have a planned MBA program graduation date by the Summer of 2025. At least three years of post-undergraduate work experience in a dynamic, professional environment or relevant military experience.Must be able to work onsite in our Atlanta, GA office for the duration of the internship.Curiosity about the airline industryAnalytical and creative problem solversConsistent track record of excellenceAbility to excel in fast-paced, matrix-team environmentIdeal candidates have strong analytical, leadership, written and verbal communication skillsConsistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
