What are your contributions to the team?
- Plan and supervise the activities and management of a team of approximately 25 unionized employees on the evening shift, 8 hours for 5 days or 10 hours for 4 days.
- Be responsible for the operational processes of his sector by achieving and monitoring the objectives.
- Plan the daily operation of his sector and follow up on them.
- Adhere to the management system by reporting and analyzing various indicators related to productivity, quality, health and safety, absenteeism, etc.
- Resolve problems in an efficient and timely manner.
- Maintain communication with other departments for any issue related to his sector.
- Ensure continuous improvement through the use of operational excellence concepts and the problem-solving process.
- Ensure the training of its employees, evaluate their performance and their progress.
- Promote a work environment based on engagement, teamwork, and open communication.
How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience:
- You have a college or university degree in aeronautics, engineering, operations management or a related field.
- You have at least five (5) years of experience in a supervisory role in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- You have strong planning and organizational skills to ensure results are achieved.
- You demonstrate managerial courage when managing personnel.
- You are available, flexible and motivated by a stimulating and changing environment.
- You have excellent communication and leadership skills.
- You are bilingual.
