As a Sr Field Site Manager, you will be using your skills and expertise to oversee the maintenance servicing, repairing, inspecting, and overhauling of our aircraft and/or aircraft systems and subsystems to ensure that our aircraft and/or systems are in an airworthy condition and are safe for flight. Youll also ensure that all of our customer issues are satisfactorily resolved in a timely and efficient manner. The Sr Field Site Manager will also provide input to program management for budgetary requirements. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Provide Mission Equipment maintenance support in a high OPTEMPO environment, meeting or exceeding required Operational Availability at an overseas location.
- Work directly with the customer and end user on the Field Site as well as other contractors to coordinate and schedule all work activities.
- Provide customer feedback to appropriate personnel to help ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist with equipment problem isolation and reporting of hardware and software defects to the depot.
- Provide the interface between field personnel and depot personnel as required.
- Review system data to identify system/operator errors and provide feedback to field service personnel, operators, and/or analysts.
- Provide overall system information to engineers to improve or enhance current system capability and/or operation.
- Work directly with engineers during periodic system upgrades or replacements.
- Interview and assist with the hiring of field service personnel.
- Provide daily Situation Reports (SITREP) detailing the Field Site status WRT operation, maintenance, personnel, near term plans and issues.
- Provide monthly reports summarizing the most important aspects of the daily SITREPs and discussing longer term trends and issues.
- Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
- Work on complex technical problems to provide solutions.
- Compliance with all Security Protocols on and in support of Aircraft Operations.
Must-haves:
- Bachelors degree in a related field of study
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Minimum 6 years relative experience
- Experience with the practical application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
- Progressive experience with Aircraft Maintenance and Inspection processes and procedures and/or returning planes to service.
- Ability to understand and execute contract documents such as Performance Work Statement (PWS)
- Provide training to the customer and End user as required.
- Comprehensive understanding and experience with the practical application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
- Expert knowledge and experience with Aircraft Maintenance and Inspection processes and procedures and/or returning planes to service
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel
- Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.
- Familiarity with basic aviation hand tools and their use
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and flexibility.
- Ability to Obtain a Class III Flight Physical
- Ability to successfully complete the Physiological Training / Altitude Chamber
- Completion of the CAE Global Training course
- Previous OCONUS deployment experience managing personnel and aircraft in remote locations
- Security Clearance – TS-SCI with the ability to obtain CI Poly
Preferred:
- Previous management or lead experience; the ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification and Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation.
- Support timely installation of routine and ad hoc system and security updates.
- Understanding of FAA regulations, policies, and procedures
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
