In this pivotal role, you and your team will create and manage programs that ensure the health and safety of our team members and the community.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage all health, safety, and environmental programs.
- Act as a communication link with regulatory agencies, customers, and local emergency services.
- Drive sustainability initiatives in alignment with Parker Corporate goals.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in an EHS function within a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations relevant to the chemical industry.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ten years of industrial experience as an EHS professional.
- Supervisory experience.
- Advanced degree (Master’s) in Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, or Safety Management.
- Certifications such as 40-Hour Hazardous Material Technician (HAZMAT) and 40-Hour Landfill Safety (HAZWOPR) as well as familiarity with ISO14001.
