Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems sector is actively seeking a Director 1, Strategy & Data Analytics to join our team of highly skilled and diverse professionals in Melbourne, FL.
This strategic leadership role is centered on championing the development, articulation, and execution of engineering strategies, ensuring alignment with Annual Operating Plans (AOP), the Long-Range Strategic Plan (LRSP), our Sector Vision and the needs of our existing programs. This position will report to the director of Strategy, Integration & Operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing enterprise strategies, executing a $40M+ project portfolio on-cost and on-schedule, and leading technical teams focused on delivering actionable data-driven insights to internal customers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Orchestrating the formulation and articulation of well-defined Engineering strategies, ensuring alignment with the company-wide AOP, LRSP, and Sector Vision
Planning, monitoring and controlling the Engineering Non-contractual Technical Activity (NCTA) investment portfolio
Leading the Engineering data analytics team in their pursuit to provide actionable insights and robust analytics solutions to internal customers
Promoting an analytics-driven culture within the organization, harnessing data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science (BS) in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline and 10 years of related professional experience; OR Master of Science (MS) in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related professional experience
At least 2 years of experience leading technical teams
At least 2 years of experience formulating and implementing organizational strategic plans and roadmaps
At least 2 years of experience in monitoring and controlling project/program cost, schedule and technical performance
Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing projects/programs exceeding $5M/year
Experience leading teams of data analytics and/or software development professionals
Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Python, SQL, and Tableau
Strong analytical mindset with superior problem-solving abilities, and the aptitude for making informed, data-driven decisions
Experience briefing executive teams with the ability to effectively manage and align executive expectations
Current, active DOD Top Secret clearance or higher

Salary Range: $164,600 - $247,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
