Our employees are not only part of history, theyre making history. The Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Program Director to lead our Digital Transformation efforts. The person will lead across the Sector and coordinate closely with peers across the Enterprise. This position will report to the Operations, Quality and Programs Excellence organization and can be located in McLean, VA; Linthicum, MD; Rocket Center, WV; Roy, UT; or Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities include:
Develop, deploy, and maintain a Sector level digital roadmap that is consistent with NGC’s strategy and aligns with functional roadmaps for core digital initiatives
Coordinate with division leaders with an overall business viewpoint to identify priority impact areas (e.g., programs, sites, solutions) across all functions
Utilize enterprise templates, process flows, and investment guidance to create details behind how value levers will be applied in impact area scenarios
Mobilize initiative owners to develop initiatives; then drive implementation
Drive performance against metrics aligned with functional leads to understand progress against digital efforts and manage monthly readout sessions
Support role out of digital change management and capability building efforts
Establish the path forward to enable the broad use of digital toolkits, agile development, modular building blocks, model-based application
Determine reuse and design-to-cost strategies
Utilize data analytics, research, product reviews, user feedback and product testing to ensure consistency and quality across all end user features
Develop and execute budgets
The successful candidate will have direct experience leading digital transformations or digital ecosystem implementations, as well as clearly demonstrated, strong leadership skills to achieve sustainable top performance. Program/Project management skills, including leading teams, to meet customer requirements within cost and schedule requirements is required. This candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors’ degree with 10+ years’ experience
An ability to define long-term business strategies while driving impact on short-term goals
Prior experience developing an understanding of customer needs with a track record of solving their problems
10+ years of leading Sector strategy/execution from a Program/Project Management perspective
2+ years of direct experience leading digital transformations or digital ecosystem implementations
Deep experience in identifying opportunities, estimating impact of initiatives, and driving to value capture
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing comprehensive change management plans
Record of collaborating across sectors to understand best practices or to share learnings from local Sector initiatives
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance up to Top Secret
Salary Range: $217,200 - $377,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
