ABOUT THE ROLE AND THE TEAM

As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for promoting the SITA’s Risk and Compliance product, SITA Safety Cube . The position is based in Europe but it is expected to support a wider region of activities – in Europe and the Americas. You will not only bring expertise in safety management regulations and compliance standards but also play a critical role in driving transformation and innovation within SITA For Aircraft. This requires the ability to think strategically, leveraging strong aviation domain expertise to enable sales growth.

SITA Safety Cube is a Risk and Compliance Management Software for the aerospace industry (serving Airlines, OEM, ANSP…) that provides a practical solution for the operators having to comply with the new Safety Management System’s EASA and ICAO regulations. This software is the only one that has been specifically designed for this purpose and is based on the main industry standards for Risk and Safety (Bow-tie, ADREP, etc.). It has to date more than 50 customers worldwide. The role’s mission will be to manage the commercial growth of the product, and identify key prospects, building on the current geographical footprint.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Drive commercial growth of SITA Safety Cube product by identifying and developing key prospects within the assigned territory. This is a commercial role, but preference will be given to technical background, while commercial support will be provided by existing business development managers in the team
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues from Product, Marketing and Engineering on promoting SITA Safety Cube to both existing and new customers
  • Act as a subject matter expert in customer engagements, advising on safety management and industry best practices
  • Lead and coordinate sales efforts including presentations, demos, trials, and proposal development.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and local partners at key industry events
  • Keep informed of competitors, regional developments and industry trends
  • Coordinate responses to RFPs and other formal customer procurement processes as needed.
  • Provide customer insights and spanet feedback to Product Teams to influence roadmap and refinement of the solution’s value proposition
  • Report regularly on sales activities and pipeline progress to internal stakeholders.
  • Identifying customer needs/drivers and providing feedback about requirements, issues and challenges to drive the spanet

Qualifications

WHO YOU ARE

  • Aerospace engineer or a Master degree in Aviation or significant, relevant work experience.
  • Experience of at least 5 years in Safety, Quality and Compliance in Aviation with ability to act as the Subject Matter Expert on Flight Safety.
  • Knowledge of Safety Management regulations
  • Understanding of key aviation stakeholders such as airlines and ANSPs
  • Risk management and human factors skills
  • Knowledge and interest in business development, sales, contract negotiation
  • Commercially minded, driven by results
  • Experience of interfacing directly with senior levels of management internally and externally
  • Outstanding communication skills in English
  • At ease dealing with high-paced commercial environment
  • Team player
