Job Description SummaryExecute the AvioAero ATO operations and lead the section’s growth in Lean. You will have the opportunity to shape the sections operation and make a tremendous impact with Lean.

Background: in the AvioAero ATO organization we mature the next generation of technologies and propulsion systems which will enable the future of flights. Our scope ranges from Preliminary Design of future product to Advanced Systems ownership of large demos from their conceptual design to experimental testing. Our teams working on Aerodynamic, Combustions, Thermal and Dynamics sciences provide support across Aviation programs. The Lean and Operations Leader will partner with technical and organization leaders to drive operational execution in coordination with the EU funding programs and lead our section on its Lean journey.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

Work across AvioAero ATO organization to identify opportunities for Lean work and increase use of Lean throughout the organization, including:

  • Own and maintain the organization’s budget and operating plans, including program funding, CFD, and bullet train expenses.

  • Supports prioritization of engineering work scope to meet product line priority and budget.

  • Implementation of standard work, KPIs, Weekly Operative Rhythm and Monthly Operative Rhythm.

  • Guide team to use lean tools and methodologies (e.g., PSRs, value stream mapping, and other tools) to drive organization efficiency.

  • Facilitate updates to the organization’s Strategic Workforce Plan.

  • Partner with the organizations staff members to drive accountability for completing program deliverables on-time and on-budget.

  • Partner with staff to define and execute actions that resonate with employees and improve workplace culture

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering or technical discipline

  • Proven experience in an Engineering or technical discipline

  • Previous experience with Lean and associated tools

  • Strong project management / organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines

  • Fluency in Italian and English

  • Work Visa, according to local regulation, is required
