Summary of Essential Duties:
- Monitor all MEL and deferred maintenance items, coordinating the timely compliance with the Maintenance Planning Department.
- Monitor staffing levels and make recommendations on needed changes.
- Effective scheduling and coordination of internal support services (avionics, sheet metal, NDT, etc.) as required.
- Be responsible for training/retraining of maintenance controllers.
- Coordinate material and tooling requirements.
- Monitor safe work practices, environmental compliance, and proper housekeeping.
- Forecast and coordinate the scheduling of short-term maintenance requirements on Company operated or managed aircraft.
- Monitors maintenance performance of all scheduled aircraft operations.
- Reports essential information as to the status of operating aircraft.
- Coordinates with Dispatch concerning all maintenance irregularities that affect the dispatching of aircraft.
- Responsible for the proper administration of MEL/CDL/NEF procedures as established in the Contour General Maintenance Manual (GMM).
- Coordinates with line maintenance, contract maintenance or on-call maintenance as
- necessary to ensure mechanical irregularities are corrected in accordance with the procedures established in the Corporate Flight Management General Maintenance Manual (GMM).
- Ensures data in the pilot reports, ferry flights, SDR, delays and cancellations, etc., is recorded accurately into the applicable maintenance system (FOS, Veryon, etc.).
- Confirms all work performed on Company aircraft is accomplished by qualified, authorized, and approved personnel.
- Ensures On-the-Job Training (OJT) is conducted and documented for Maintenance Controllers.
- Performs additional tasks as specified in the CASS/Reliability section of the Corporate Flight Management General Maintenance Manual (GMM).
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
