Plans, lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs both internal and external aircraft structures and surfaces for aircraft modification in accordance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and FAA regulations. Aircraft Production and Assembly experience. Heavy Drilling and Precision Drilling Experience.
4-6 Years Aircraft Sheet metal, Structures, or Production Structures/Assembly
Must have the ability to work any shift. The position will start off on the 1st shift for training then Candidates will be moved to the appropriate shift based on need.
JOB DUTIES
- Performs quality structural assembly work, manages change, and utilizes advanced experience to assess, adopt, and adapt to new skills and processes.
- Knowledge and skill in structural areas identified as fracture-critical and Damage tolerant.
- Production build controls; Outside Mold Line (OML) surfaces of the aircraft, in-flight opening door hinge lines, Interchangeable/Replaceable hole patterns and E.O.P.’s (edge of parts), and major component mate features.
Desired skills:
- Aircraft structural modification or heavy structures overhaul experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, and technical manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes.
- Ability to identify aircraft locations by station, butt-line, and waterline as shown or engineering documentation and technical orders.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Knowledge and ability to perform multiple skill requirements.
- Willing to be trained and/or certified in special skills.
SHIFT AVAILABILITY
- Must be able to work any shift 1st, 2nd, or weekend shift.
- Most availability is currently on the 1st and 2nd shifts.
