Job Description:

Performs routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations.

Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.

  • Must have the ability to complete the New Hire Training Cycle Flow to obtain and maintain all required certifications.
  • Use a computer in a production environment.
  • Look up/read/comprehend technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications.
  • Apply sealant and to surface per specifications.
  • Install various aircraft system components such as panel installs.
  • Appropriate protective clothing/equipment determined by the task you are performing.
  • Operate mechanical lifts of various types (e.g. ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts).
  • Various tools such as Rivet gun and bucking bar, screwdrivers, lock bolt puller, power screwdriver, C-squeeze, ratchet wrench, nut runner, Winslow, 90-
  • Degree Power Vane, or Quackenbush and various other hand tools.
  • Chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes
  • Inspect your work quality and check for FOD (Foreign Object Debris).
  • Use of high impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting).
  • Climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), Crawling, Crouching (squatting),
  • Working around energized sources (electrical equipment and hazards/shock, e.g. circuit breakers and wiring) and exposure to constant noise.
  • Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other).
  • Reading from a computer screen, printed drawings or documents.
  • Ability to adhere to high standards of Safety and Compliance to regulation.
  • Work in confined space and respirator usage.
  • Carrying/Lifting up to 10-35 pounds.
  • Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), Handling, Kneeling, Bending at the waist, Reaching (overhead), Rotation of head/neck, Standing,
  • Twisting at the waist and walking.
Job Requirements:
  • 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
  • Education/Experience: Typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required
  • 7+ years aviation experience required

Required:

  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to qualify and use a respirator.
  • Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd)
  • Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals.
  • Proficiency with typical hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, etc.) Use of high impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting).
  • Able to work in confine space and receive associated training and certification
  • Perform Bond and ground measurements
  • Perform in-tank sealing in fuel tank and other structure work
  • Perform wash of the fuel tank
