Position Summary
Location: Parker Aerospace Group-DSD-Irvine, CA
Job Designation The Quality Inspector III inspects complex components, parts and/or products for the area assigned as prescribed by all applicable specifications and quality assurance instructions. Works under minimal supervision, identifying moderately difficult to complex issues and oversees the satisfactory resolution of customer requirements.
Job Core Responsibilities
- Conducts a variety of complex examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, components, parts at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards
- Reviews and analyzes statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards
- Oversees the satisfactory resolution of customer requirements on a variety of complex Quality Assurance issues
- Prepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items
- Manages the Internal audits and corrective action follow ups
- Performs inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, piece parts, final assemblies and tooling
- Other responsibilities as assigned
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Job Specifications
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or GED required. Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related fieldYears Experience: 5- 7 years of relevant experienceSkills:
- Solid knowledge and experience in Quality Assurance and ability to act as a resource for colleagues
- Experience in Receiving, In-process, source and Final Acceptance inspection procedures
- Ability to identify and independently resolve a variety of complex Quality Assurance issues
- Skilled at measuring and using test equipment as prescribed by job assignment
- Capable of following instructions and applying processes and procedures to standard routine tasks
- Must be able to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions, including engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $22.50/hour- $33.75/hour
