Position Summary
Location: Parker Aerospace Group-DSD-Irvine, CA
Job Designation The Production Test Technician II performs various complex assignments to include testing of electronic and electro-mechanical fans and pumps subassemblies, assemblies, evaluation, testing, repair, qualification, and occasional training and integration in support of manufacturing activity.
Job Core Responsibilities
- Work includes building of experimental devices from engineering sketches or specifications, testing and troubleshooting of such devices or systems, and development of design details.
- Will be responsible for running ATPs and for evaluating and performing repairs on various systems.
- Also responsible for test setups and instrumentation, both electrical and hydraulic.
- Will provide integration support as well as field support.
- Responsible for training others, both within the Company and in the field.
- Occasional travel to provide field support may be required.
- Required to obtain a certificate for both buying and handling refrigeration products.
- Will be required to keep the shop area and surrounding work area clean and organized. Will make simple modifications to prototype parts with shop machinery.
- Will ensure that shop tools are current.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Job Specifications
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or GED required. Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related fieldYears Experience: 5+ years of relevant experienceSkills:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and safety procedures.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Must be able to fill out a test report and a Quality MRB report.
- Must have ability to follow relatively complex written instructions.
- Ability calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Good troubleshooting skills required. Ability to prioritize workload and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $20.10/hour- $30.10/hour
