Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Mechanical design and development of electrical power distribution systems and components
  • Coordination of all technical activities related to assigned parts
  • Coordination of manufacturing and testing for assigned parts, including cooperation with external suppliers
  • Ensure on schedule submission of planned deliverables to customers
  • Budget and time control needed to complete assigned tasks
  • Assure proper technical (CAD Models, 2D drawings, reports and manuals) and business documentation (sourcing and purchasing processes)
  • Monitor and communicate project status internally and externally for related activities
  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical/ program reviews in person or remotely
  • Provide technical leadership & guidance to personnel supporting assigned product
  • Demonstrate proficiency with core technical tools, methods and concepts
  • May lead small group within individual discipline

Required Qualifications

  • Degree (BSc or MSc) in Mechanical Engineering or related
  • Demonstrated mechanical design position in industry, aviation related experience would be an advantage
  • Experience in CAD tools (NX preferred) and GD&T knowledge
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, knowledge of typical aerospace manufacturing techniques and standards would be an advantage
  • Experience in electronics packaging would be an advantage
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to guide and influence others
  • Demonstrated team work and self-reliance in assigned tasks
  • Target oriented, problem solving attitude, “can do” approach
  • Demonstrated high written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent English (spoken & written)
  • Ability to work under time pressure
  • Ability to travel abroad and work with global team members
