Key responsibilities and duties:
• Effectively complete fine limit sheet metal work;
• Fabricate various items to satisfy demand;
• Manufacture from technical drawings;
• Ensure productivity is maintained and all targets met;
• Work within and promote the Behavioural Competencies;
• Comply with current Tool Control procedure;
• Adherence to our Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and all associated Business Manuals.
Competencies:
Core:
• Ability to work as part of a team;
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Functional:
Essential
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings;
• Ability to use hand tools and specialised equipment;
• Experience in using various sheet metal fabrication equipment.
Desirable
• Ability to Heat treat.
Organisational Relationships:
Key interactions with;
• FLM;
• Engineering;
• Planning.
Professional Qualifications/Education and Training:
Essential
• Indentured apprenticeship, or relevant level 3 qualification;
Desirable
• Familiarity with Military MRP 145 and associated Regulatory Articles (RA’s).
• BTEC ONC in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
• Experience with fabrication to fine limits
• Experience within aircraft maintenance or production would be advantageous.
