Prepare cutting tools and holders using pre-programmed planning for various types of NCMD machines for machine shop.
Essential Functions:
- Measure and verify the dimensions of completed work pieces and verify conformance or specifications of the measurement of reference points for setting the tool, making adjustments as needed.
- Follow job orders to determine product specifications and tooling instructions and to plan operational sequences
- Read work orders or other instructions to determine product specifications or materials requirements.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and various equipment as needed.
- Work in and maintain an organized work area.
- Adapt and execute with detail in a fast paced environment, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Follow instructions and production schedules.
- Demonstrated computer literacy.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have basic computer skills.
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent. Must have 5 years of experience or equivalent on related field.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- A background in manufacturing, aerospace, quality control, and CNC machines is preferable.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, and uses.
- Strong mechanical skills
- Familiarity with CNC machines
- Familiar with cutting tool pre-set equipment “Mechanical and Shrink Fit”, such as Zoller.
- Familiar with cutting tools, holders: types, materials, uses, and coatings.
- Knowledge of machining processes.
- Capable of using precision hand tools for measurement of diameters, lengths and radii.
- Consistent attention to detail.
- Ability to act quickly when a problem arises.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $31.81/hr - $53.15/hr.
